Customer Review: Our Leather Recliner – 5 Months Later

As someone who values comfort in my home, I previously purchased a white sofa, but the color clashed too much with the rest of my living space. Luckily, Airsky offered me a free replacement for a orange recliner, which was a pleasant surprise.

Is it durable?

After five months of use, I can confidently say this recliner is impressively durable. Considering it’s priced at $300, I was honestly expecting something less resilient. However, it has held up beautifully. Even though my kids often jump on it, press it, and occasionally spill milk or crumbs, it shows no signs of wear. There are no stains, dents, or issues. For the price, this recliner is surprisingly robust.

So how has it held up?

A common concern with many recliners is whether the cushions will lose their shape and firmness over time, but this one has stayed as comfortable as it was when I first got it. The cushion remains soft and supportive, even after months of use, and I’m thrilled to report it hasn’t flattened out at all. This is great for anyone worried about long-term comfort, especially for kids who often use the recliner.

Have the armrests held their shape?

One of the features I love the most about this recliner is its armrests. They’re large, soft, and well-padded, making the chair feel even more comfortable. I was initially concerned that the armrests would lose their shape, especially with my kids leaning on them all the time, but surprisingly, they’ve remained in great condition. They bounce right back, even after being squished by little hands.

How is the leather holding up?

Another pleasant surprise was the leather. I initially expected a $300 recliner to have subpar leather, but Airsky uses top-grain cowhide leather, which is quite impressive for the price point. I had a friend verify this, and the quality is clear. Even though my kids tend to spill food and drinks on it, I’ve found that a quick wipe restores it to like-new condition. However, if you have pets like cats or dogs, the leather might not hold up well to scratching, so keep that in mind.

Unavoidable shortcomings

There’s one downside to this recliner: the manual recline mechanism. You have to pull a ring to lay the backrest down, but the footrest requires a little more effort to return to its original position. For older adults, this might be a bit challenging. A power recliner could be a better option if ease of use is a top priority for you.

Overall, I highly recommend the Airsky recliner for anyone seeking an affordable, durable, and comfortable piece of furniture. The leather is high-quality, the cushions are soft, and the armrests are incredibly comfy. If you have kids, you’ll appreciate how well it stands up to wear and tear. While the manual recline mechanism may not be ideal for seniors or those with limited strength, it’s still an excellent value for the price.
